Eat & drink

Our own favorite spots in Anchorage. Tap an address for directions or a number to call.

Middle Way Cafe

8am – 4pm, all week

We love the vegan and gluten-free options, like the vegan breakfast burrito. Don’t hesitate to try the Summer Breeze smoothie. As a bonus, you can enjoy the art on the walls. You can see we love art!

Saverio’s Pizzeria

11am – 8pm

If you want to try real Italian pizza, this is the place to go. The owner is from Italy and has been delighting us with his delicious food for a long time. You should definitely try the Clam Casino Pizza.

Moose’s Tooth Pub & Pizzeria

11am – 10pm (11pm Friday and Saturday)

We recommend the diablo breadsticks for appetizers, and the Avalanche, Brewhouse Favorite, or any other pizza to be honest. Great salads also. Usually very busy, so plan for a wait time.

Simon & Seafort’s Saloon & Grill

11:30am – 10pm (11am – 9pm Sunday)

Everything here is delicious. We suggest the Crab & Macadamia Nut Stuffed Halibut, which you can enjoy with a nice view if you get a seat next to the window. It will be a meal to remember.

Humpy’s Great Alaskan Alehouse

11am – 1am

From the Halibut fish and chips to the salmon and scallop fettuccine, everything is great. If you are not into seafood, they also have equally delicious burgers and pizzas.

Rays’ Place

10am – 3pm and 5pm – 8:30pm, closed Saturday and Sunday

Amazing Vietnamese food. Every dish is delicious! We love the combination of fried rice, beef & broccoli, lamb curry, garlic chicken, and pho. The fresh spring rolls are by far the best in town.

Taste of India

11am – 9:30pm, weekends open at 12pm, closed Tuesday

Our absolute favorite Indian food place in town. We recommend the Tamarind Pork, especially if you like spicy food. Make sure to call ahead and make a reservation as this place keeps busy.

Pho Lena

11am – 10pm, closed Sunday

If you like Thai food we recommend this place. There are several around town owned by the same family, but we suggest the one in Spenard that is the closest to the house.

Ronnie Sushi

11:30am – 10pm (Sunday opens at 2pm)

Our favorite sushi roll is called the Open Your Mouth Roll. There is a Ronnie’s Sushi 1 on the opposite side of town, which was the original. It is a bit far from the house, but totally worth the drive.

Arctic Roadrunner

10:30am – 7:30pm, Friday and Saturday close at 8pm, closed Sunday

An old school place, and that is what makes it perfect. You can sit right next to the creek and enjoy a salmon, halibut or beef hamburger. Cash only.

Bear Tooth Theatre Pub

11:00am – 9:30pm

Go to the pub side to watch a movie while enjoying awesome food and beverages. Go to the grill side for more food variety and a relaxing atmosphere.
